Sweet Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cucumbers
    1/2 gal. water
    3/4 c. salt
    2 c. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Dissolve salt in water; pour over cucumbers.
    Let stand overnight or approximately 12 hours.
    Rinse cucumbers.
    Mix and boil sugar, vinegar and 2 cups water.
    Drop enough cucumbers for one quart into boiling vinegar.
    Let stand until color changes. Pack in jar.
    Repeat until all cucumbers are used.
    Cover with vinegar mixture and seal.
    Makes about 3 quarts.
