Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, broken in pieces
    1 c. shredded carrots
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. sliced red onion
    1 1/2 c. sliced, fresh mushrooms
    1 (10 oz. ) pkg. frozen peas (uncooked)
    4 sliced hard-boiled eggs
    2 c. \"light\" Miracle Whip
    grated Cheddar cheese (sprinkle on top)
Preparation
    In large bowl, layer ingredients as listed.
    Cover and let stand in refrigerator overnight.
    Toss and serve.
