Wild Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white hominy grits
    5 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. Parmesan cheese
    black pepper
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 c. Italian flavored bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. onion flakes
Preparation
    Add grits to boiling salted water.
    Reduce heat and simmer 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool 30 minutes.
    Add baking powder, 3/4 cup cheese, onion and pepper.
    Mix well. Combine eggs and milk.
    Add to cooked grits.
    Pour mixture into well-greased 2-quart baking dish. Top with bread crumbs and remaining cheese. Dot with butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until browned on top.
    Great with chicken or meat dishes.
