Pickle Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. chopped cucumbers
    2 c. chopped onions
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. chopped red pepper
    1/4 c. salt
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. turmeric powder
    1 Tbsp. garlic powder
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine chopped vegetables in a large bowl.
    Sprinkle with salt and cover with cold water.
    Let set for 2 hours; drain and rinse thoroughly.
    Combine sugar, vinegar and spices in a pot; bring to a boil.
    Add drained vegetables.
    Simmer 10 minutes.
    Pack in jars. Process in boiling water 10 minutes.
