Poor Boy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 box raisins
1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
water to cover (about 2 c.)
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour (may be less according to amount of liquid)

Preparation

Place first 8 ingredients in boiler.
Cook until thick.
Let cool, then stir in remaining ingredients.
Stir until thick and then spread in a large greased sheet pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 20 to 25 minutes.
Cake will be done when firm on top.
