Pecan Pie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
    1/4 c. oleo, softened
    1 beaten egg
    3 eggs
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Set aside 2/3 cup cake mix.
    Combine remaining mix, oleo and beaten egg.
    Stir by hand until mixture is crumbly.
    Spread mixture evenly over bottom and 1-inch up the sides of ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
