Fruit Cookie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped nuts
    1 stick butter, melted
    1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 c. plain flour
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
Preparation
    Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Spread nuts in bottom of pan.
    Mix melted butter with brown sugar, eggs, vanilla flavoring and flour.
    Mix together and pour over nuts in pan.
    Chop cherries and pineapple and spread over batter.
    Cook 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
    Cut in bars while hot.
    (Cook 45 minutes for soft bars.)
