Rich Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cocoa, sifted
2 c. boiling water
1 c. butter or oleo, soft
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine cocoa and boiling water, stirring until smooth.
Set aside to cool.
Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla at high speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
Combine flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with cocoa mixture; beat at low speed, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool in pan 10 minutes.
Remove from pans and let cool completely on wire racks.
Ice with your favorite icing.
