Easy Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. packed light brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 lb. box 4x sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 stick margarine
Preparation
    Melt margarine in saucepan.
    Add brown sugar and salt.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add evaporated milk, stir.
    Return to a boil.
    Remove from burner and add 2 cups 4x sugar, stirring until spreading consistency.
    Add more milk or sugar as needed for spreading consistency.
    Will frost 3-layer cake.
