Grandmother'S 1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light.
Add beaten eggs, one at a time.
Blend each one in thoroughly.
Sift and add dry ingredients alternately with milk and flavoring.
Bake in greased loaf pan in moderate oven (350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0) for 45 to 50 minutes, or bake in two greased layer pans at 375\u00b0 for about 25 minutes.
Fill and frost as desired.
This recipe is also good for cupcakes.
