Strawberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg. strawberries, drained (save the juice)
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sour cream
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix flour, salt, soda and sugar.
Add shortening, sour cream, eggs and vanilla.
Beat this mixture for three minutes.
Fold in strawberries.
Pour into greased square baking dish and bake at 250\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream, ice cream or strawberry sauce.
