Beef Bourbonnaise - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. bacon drippings
6 small onions or 1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
1 lb. lean round steak, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
1 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. crumbled marjoram or rosemary
1/8 tsp. ground pepper
1/8 tsp. crumbled thyme
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed beef broth
1/2 c. wine vinegar
1/2 c. bourbon
Preparation

Heat bacon drippings.
Add onions and mushrooms; cook over medium heat until lightly browned.
Remove onions and mushrooms; reserve drippings.
Add steak and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
Sprinkle flour, salt, marjoram or rosemary, pepper and thyme over meat; stir so that ingredients are well blended.
