Spritz - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. blanched sliced almonds
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. unsalted butter
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 c. flour
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Soften butter.
    Grate almonds in processor until powder fine. Cream sugar and butter until fluffy.
    Add egg and extract and beat until blended.
    On low speed, blend in flour, salt and almonds. Mix until incorporated.
    Fill cookie press and press in desired shapes onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cool on wire racks.
    Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
