Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix butter and sugar.
Using hands, mix in flour.
If dough is crumbly, mix in 1 to 2 tablespoons butter, softened.
Roll dough 1/2-inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into small squares.
Place about 1/2-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set but not brown, 20 minutes.
Remove immediately from cookie sheet. Cool completely. Store in tightly covered container up to 4 days.
Yields 2 dozen.
