Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. white Karo
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 c. buttermilk, with 1 tsp. soda
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix sugar, Karo and butter together slightly.
Add buttermilk with soda.
Cook to hard ball stage, stirring constantly.
Take from heat and add vanilla.
Beat until cool and thick enough to drop by teaspoonfuls onto buttered waxed paper.
Add nuts before dropping.
