Red Cabbage And Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1 small onion, peeled
1/2 medium head red cabbage, shredded (4 c.)
2 c. peeled, sliced apples
whole cloves
Preparation
-
In skillet, heat bacon drippings.
Blend brown sugar, vinegar, water, salt and pepper.
Insert whole cloves into onion and add with shredded cabbage and sliced apples to skillet.
Cover and reduce heat.
Cover and stir until cabbage is tender, 25 to 30 minutes.
