Raspberry Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    dash of salt
    1 1/2 c. raspberry or strawberry jam
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In large bowl, cream sugar and butter; mix in flour and salt.
    Press 3/4 of mixture into 9 x 12-inch baking pan.
    Warm jam slightly in microwave; spread over base. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over top.
    Bake for 40 minutes. Makes 24 bars.
