Oatmeal Softies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unsifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter at room temperature
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. quick cooking oats
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a bowl.
    Cream butter and sugars in large bowl until light and fluffy.
    Beat in eggs and vanilla.
    Mix in sifted ingredients, 1/3 at a time.
    Stir in oats and nuts.
    Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool cookies on baking sheet 1 minute.
