Hot Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 strips raw bacon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1 can each: green beans, yellow beans and kidney beans, drained
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
Preparation
    Using scissors, snip bacon in small pieces into 2-quart casserole.
    Microwave 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. With slotted spoon, remove bacon pieces to paper towel to drain. To bacon drippings, add sugar, cornstarch, salt, pepper and vinegar.
    Microwave on High 3 to 4 minutes until thick.
    Add vegetables and onion.
    Stir well; cover.
    Microwave 6 minutes on High, stirring after 3 minutes.
    Let stand 10 minutes before serving to blend.
    Sprinkle bacon pieces on top.
    This is even better reheated!
