Creamed Ham And Asparagus - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. milk, divided
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/2 tsp. parsley
    1 1/2 lb. cooked ham, cut into cubes
    3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    toast points or biscuits
Preparation
    In saucepan cook asparagus in a small amount of water until tender.
    Drain and set aside.
