Shrimp-Oyster Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion
    1 box okra or 1 can cut okra, drained
    1/2 c. butter
    1 lb. uncooked shrimp, peeled and cleaned
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    12 oysters with liquid
    1 (19 oz.) can tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tsp. gumbo file
    cooked rice
    1 sweet red pepper, chopped
Preparation
    Cook onion and red pepper in butter for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Add flour and brown lightly.
    Add water, tomatoes and gumbo file. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Add okra, shrimp and oysters. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Serve over cooked rice.
