Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/3 c. flour
    4 c. water
    3 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
    1 c. milk
    1 c. half and half
    8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, saute onion in margarine for 5 minutes, or until onion is almost tender.
    Reduce heat to medium.
    Stir in flour until completely blended.
    Add water, bouillon, garlic powder and pepper.
    Bring to boil; reduce heat to low.
    Add broccoli and milk.
    Simmer for 10 minutes, or until broccoli is done.
    Stir in half and half and cheese until cheese melts.
    Serve hot.
