Mike'S Chewy Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sifted plain flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. uncooked oats
1 c. raisins

Preparation

Sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in oats and raisins.
Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in 325\u00b0 oven 12 to 15 minutes.
Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
