Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    4 to 6 medium size potatoes
    1/2 onion, chopped
    salt
    1/2 to 1 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Dice bacon into bits.
    Fry bacon in 4-quart pan.
    Peel and dice potatoes.
    Chop onion.
    Remove bacon from pan; put potatoes and onion into bacon grease.
    Salt.
    Fry for 5 minutes.
    Cover potatoes with water; cook until tender.
    The longer you cook, the mushier they get and this makes soup base thicker.
