Microwave Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. butter
    1 c. salted peanuts
Preparation
    In an 8 x 12-inch glass baking dish, mix sugar and corn syrup. Microwave on High for 4 minutes.
    Stir with a wooden spoon. Microwave 4 minutes more.
    Stir in peanuts, butter and vanilla. Microwave 2 minutes on High.
    Add soda and stir until light and foamy.
    Pour into a greased cookie sheet and spread thin.
    Allow to cool completely.
    Break into small pieces.
    Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
    Makes 1 pound.
