Lentil Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or olive oil
    1/2 c. orzo pasta (you can use fine noodles or break thin spaghetti into 1 1/2-inch pieces)
    1/2 c. lentils
    2 c. beef stock or chicken stock (bouillon or water)
    1/2 c. long grain rice
    1 red pepper, coarsely chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, finely minced
Preparation
    Melt butter over high heat in skillet that has a cover.
    Add rice and pasta, stirring to coat with butter (oil).
    Saute until rice is brown. Add vegetables.
    Saute 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add lentils and stock.
    Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer gently for about 20 minutes or until lentils are tender. Add seasonings as desired.
