Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 large onion, chopped fine
    1 clove garlic
    1 large head red cabbage, chipped
    1 apple, chopped (unpeeled)
    4 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 c. sugar
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; add a little water if needed.
    Simmer about 30 minutes.
    Serve.
