Blonde Brownies(Nate Emery'S Favorite) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. margarine
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 to 2 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt shortening in saucepan. Remove from heat and add sugar. Mix well and cool slightly before adding eggs and vanilla. Blend well and add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add chips and nuts.
    Stir in.
    Spread batter in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Do not overbake.
    Cool in pan and cut into bars.
    Makes 24 bars.
