Dark Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. milk
7 egg yolks, beaten
3 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. mace
4 c. flour
2 lb. seeded raisins
2 lb. dates
1 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. pineapple
1 lb. pecans
2 c. brandy
7 egg whites
4 tsp. milk
Preparation

Beat egg yolks and add to butter and sugar.
Sift together flour, mace, baking powder and cinnamon.
Cut fruits into pieces. Pour 2 cups brandy over fruit and let stand all night.
Coat nuts with flour, then add to creamed mixture.
Then add 4 teaspoons milk and 2 teaspoons fruit juice.
Beat stiff 7 egg whites and blend well.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours or until firm.
