Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    4 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. instant dry coffee
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 fifth 100 proof vodka
Preparation
    Save 1/2 cup water to dissolve coffee.
    Make a syrup of sugar and water; bring to a boil.
    Cook slowly for 8 to 10 minutes. Make coffee and add to syrup.
    Bring to a boil; remove from heat and cool.
    When cool, add vanilla and vodka.
    Store in dark bottles.
