Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. cucumber slices
    4 large onions, chopped
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    3 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric powder
Preparation
    Wash all the cucumbers and slice.
    Add all into large stock pot.
    Bring to a boil, stirring carefully, until all cucumber slices have changed color.
    Makes about 7 pints.
    Holds a long time in refrigerator, or they can be hot packed and sealed.
