Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs, beaten
3 c. sugar
1 c. melted shortening
1 qt. buttermilk or sour milk
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
5 c. flour
1 (15 oz.) box Raisin Bran flakes or 40% bran flakes and your own raisins
Preparation

Combine eggs, sugar, shortening and milk.
Sift dry ingredients; add to mixture.
Stir in the Raisin Bran or 40% Bran Flakes and add your own raisins.
Store batter in refrigerator, covered, for up to 2 weeks and bake as needed.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes in muffin tins or cake papers.
