Shortening Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. corn meal
    1/2 lb. fresh pork cracklins
Preparation
    Put grease in bottom of skillet.
    Mix corn meal and cracklins well.
    Mix with warm water; put salt in to taste.
    Bake in iron skillet; this will make 3 large pones or 1 large cake.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or as brown as you like.
    Put grease on top.
