Raised Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. lukewarm water
yeast
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk, scalded
2 eggs
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Mix water and yeast together and cool.
Heat milk and add remaining ingredients. Cool the milk and yeast mixtures to the same temperature and mix together.
Knead the dough together very well, place in a clean bowl, cover and let sit in a warm place to rise.
