Curried Stew Beef And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    stew beef
    oil
    soy sauce
    tomato paste
    carrots
    bay leaves
    flour
    salt
    potatoes (small, canned ones are fine)
    1 large onion
    green pepper
    chives (green onions)
    bit of garlic
    curry powder
    paprika
    garlic powder
Preparation
    Bring water to a boil in kettle or pot.
    Season meat with powdered seasonings by rubbing them into meat with hands.
    Set aside.
    Cut, chop or dice solid seasonings; set aside.
    Make dumplings by mixing flour, a little salt and enough water to make doughy and kneadable without sticking.
    (If sticky, add flour.
    If dry, add water.)
    Pinch small portions of dough and roll into balls or longer cylinder pieces; set aside.
    Cover bottom of pot with oil; heat and add seasoned meat.
    Shake some soy sauce on meat.
    After color changes, add some tomato paste and allow to boil.
    Add carrots, 3 or 4 bay leaves and enough boiling water to cover ingredients.
    Add dumplings and drained potatoes.
    Let stew until done.
