Ingredients

1/4 c. sifted flour (plain)
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind (1 lemon)
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 egg yolks, well beaten
1 c. milk
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation

Sift together into mixing bowl the flour, sugar and salt. Stir in lemon rind, lemon juice, egg yolks and milk. Fold in egg whites.
Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole (7 1/2-inch) or 6 custard cups. Set in pan of water (1-inch deep). Bake.
Serve warm or cold with or without whipped cream.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
