Almond Joy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 devils food cake mix
    2 c. sugar
    1 (16 oz.) sour cream
    1 (12 oz.) frozen coconut
    1 carton Cool Whip
    2 round cake pans
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix according to directions on box.
    When layers have cooled, split them in two with thread.
    Then mix sugar, sour cream and thawed coconut together.
    Set aside 1 cup of mixture. Put remaining mixture between the layers.
    Add 1 1/2 cups of Cool Whip to the cup of reserved mixture, to frost the cake. Refrigerate 3 days in an airtight container.
