1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. sifted cake flour
3 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add mixed dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
Pour batter into oblong pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch), rubbed with Crisco and floured.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour. Cool cake in pan on rack 15 minutes.
Before removing, loosen sides from pan with spatula.
Remove cake and spread with frosting, fruit or favorite sauce.
