Vegetable Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oil
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, separated
    3 Tbsp. hot water
    1 c. grated raw carrots
    1 c. grated raw beets
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Beat oil, sugar, egg yolks and hot water.
    Add the raw carrots and beets.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add to the creamed mixture.
    Beat egg whites and fold into the creamed mixture.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes in greased and floured pan.
