Punch Bowl Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    white or yellow cake mix
    2 pkg. instant vanilla pudding (4 serving size)
    2 cans cherry pie filling
    2 cans drained pineapple tidbits
    bananas, sliced and dipped in pineapple juice
    2 (9 oz.) cartons Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bake cake as package directs for a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cool well.
    Cut cake into 1-inch squares.
    Layer ingredients in a clear punch bowl in order given.
    Repeat.
    Top with cherries.
