Soft Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. light molasses
1 egg, well beaten
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar together, then add molasses and egg and stir.
Sift flour, soda, salt, cloves, ginger and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture and stir well.
Shape dough in small round balls; dip in sugar.
Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 8 minutes (10 minutes for harder cookies).
