Scalloped Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 small boiling onions
    1 c. diced celery
    4 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. cream
    1/2 c. blanched, sliced almonds
    paprika
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Simmer onions with skins on until tender.
    Cool slightly and peel.
    Saute
    celery
    in
    butter.
    Add flour, salt and pepper, milk,
    cream
    and
    the onions.
    Place in casserole and bake at 350\u00b0 until bubbly and brown.
    Add almonds, paprika and Parmesan cheese.
    Return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes.
