Date-Nut Pinwheel Caramel Refrigerator Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream shortening, butter, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
Stir in flour, soda and salt.
Form into a roll 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in waxed paper.
Chill until firm.
