Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. brown sugar
    2 sticks margarine
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. pecans (optional)
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs, one at a time; beat well. Gradually add flour, salt and vanilla. Add baking powder. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 pan for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown at 350\u00b0.
