Ingredients

1 lb. + 2 oz. butter or margarine
3 lb. brown sugar
2 c. eggs
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 lb. 8 oz. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
12 oz. chopped nuts
Preparation

Melt butter.
Cool to room temperature.
Mix butter and sugar until smooth.
Gradually add eggs.
Beat thoroughly.
Add vanilla. Mix dry ingredients.
