Giblet Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. chicken gizzards
1 onion, chopped
3/4 c. green onion, chopped
1 tsp. garlic powder
3 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Clean and wash gizzards.
Boil in garlic seasoned water until cooked.
Save your broth.
Make a light brown roux with shortening and flour.
Chop gizzards.
Add gizzards, roux, onions, green onions and stock from your baked turkey together in the gizzard pot.
Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
Season to taste.
