Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cubed steak
    1 large can stewed or crushed tomatoes
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. Crisco or oil
    2 tsp. garlic salt or powder
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. oregano
Preparation
    In large skillet, melt Crisco or heat oil on medium temperature.
    Cut steak into 4-inch pieces.
    Flour both sides and place in heated skillet.
    Lightly fry on both sides.
    Drain off oil or Crisco.
    Mix remaining ingredients in frying pan.
    Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, turning meat frequently.
    Server over large egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
