Christmas Green Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope plain gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/4 c. mild vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    few grains salt
    1/2 c. pecans, sliced
    1/2 c. stuffed olives, sliced
    1/2 c. sweet gherkins, sliced
    1/2 c. sliced pineapple
    green food coloring
Preparation
    Soak gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes; dissolve in boiling water.
    Add vinegar, sugar and salt; refrigerate until it begins to jell.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Chill until firm.
    Serves 6.
