Swedish Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. granulated sugar
    20 Ritz crackers, rolled fine
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. broken pecans
    1 large Cool Whip
Preparation
    Combine egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar.
    Beat with mixer until mixture forms soft peaks. Gradually add sugar and beat stiff.
    Add rolled crackers, baking powder and nuts.
    Hand stir gently to mix.
    Heap into buttered 9-inch Pyrex pie dish. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Cool thoroughly.
    Cover with the Cool Whip. Sprinkle with grated chocolate. Refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
