Cherry Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
3/4 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cans cherry or other pie filling
Preparation

Cream sugar with Crisco, eggs (well beaten) and vanilla, then add sifted flour and salt.
Batter will be stiff.
Spread with spoon on floured 9 x 13-inch cookie pan (with lips).
Spread filling on top.
